When we got Tom, I bought a couple of packs of hay from Wilkinsons (Wilko's) as we'd always found it to be decent quality when we've had pigs before.

Sadly this wasn't as nice as we remembered and whilst it's not unuseable, I'm definately not planning on buying it again

Just wondered where people get their hay from, in particular people who have just the two piggies as hubby has taken a dim view of us buying a bale just for Tom and Mini!

I've been buying 5 a day hay from the Range for years, usually get 10kg at a time from Amazon but the quality of the most recent order is pretty terrible. It's very corse when usually it is soft enough for them to burrow in and now I'm worried about hay pokes, only 9kg to go.... I think it might be because of the dry weather with all the grass dying, farmers are struggling to get enough hay for their animals for winter so it's in short supply I guess!

I usually get mine from a lot garden nursery at £6.50 a bale though I have found the same as above in terms of recent quality. It's a bit coarse for my liking possibly because of the recent hot and dry weather. I'm going to seek out some top up stuff to mix in with it

I got mine from the same farm as I have always got in from and it is lovely soft green hay as usual for a fiver for a huge farm bale it's definitely value for money.

Wish we had any places here to get natural hay bales. The closest place here in a pinch is my much, much hated walmart. One brand and not the greatest but in a pinch...best hay I've found is online. Pet stores sell oxbow but it's literally double chewy.com or amazon.

I used to order from chewy.com. I now order from small pet select. Beautiful hay!

The last hay I got from chewy was really dusty and didn't seem fresh. Small pet select is very fresh! The second and third cuttings are awesome! They have a variety of hays and sizes too!

At the moment in the UK many hay supplies seem to have been affected by the unusually warm dry weather. I’ve been shopping around and buying softer hay when I can find it. The hay from Jolleyes is usually ok. It even that has been a bit stalky recently.
