Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anyone could help. I am looking for a good supplier where i can buy Meadow, Orchard, Timothy hay in bulk for my girls. Thank you.

Whereabouts are you located? You can add your location to your profile page and then it appears with every post you make.

Hi , I live in Devon . I think it would be much cheaper in bulk, and you know just how much they eat. But i wouldn't be without my girls and my dogs.

I get my hay from a farm. I get the best organic green hay for £6 for a farm bale and I always buy 2 of them every 6-8 weeks. Is there someone you know that keeps horses? If so ask them where they get their hay from. Horse owners are very fussy when it comes to hay so they will be able to recommend a good place for you.

I do know someone who has a couple of horse. Thank you so much.:)

Tip of the day for you @Herbs&Spice when you do find a good farm for your hay take some strong thick black sacks (its worth paying a bit extra for them) with you and put the hay in the sacks at the farm. This is for the following reasons:-
  1. It keeps most of the mess at the farm in the barn.
  2. You can check the bale all the way through for dryness and quality.
Oh and don't forget the scissors to cut the baler twine with and don't forget to take a friend so they can hold the black sacks open while you fill them.

I’d definitely agree with @betsy’s point 1!
My hay bales get delivered by my local farm shop but the trail of hay from the front of my house to the boys shed lasts for ages - not to mention getting stuck into all my clothes!
