I'm at my wits end with my piggies. They will eat a brand of hay for a couple of weeks, then go off of it. The amount of bags of hay they have gone through is ridiculous.

I feel you. I know I only had the two but Comet could eat 1kg in a week...or at least that's how it felt, lol.

It can be difficult at times, have you tried dust free hay?

Where do you get that from Lee?
I've made a new hay bag, & put tubes filled with hay & they are eating it. We'll see though.

Thanks for the recommendation for www.dustfreehay.co.uk. I put in my first order for soft hay today and it is arriving tomorrow.

I only have two guinea pigs now so buying a nice bale is not practical for me and I miss the soft sweet hay that a fresh bale can give. I buy packaged hay from my local Jollyes store which is usually soft but does lack the sweet smell.

Looking forward to my delivery tomorrow 🙂

We buy hay by the bale from a local farm as we use it as bedding too, mine normally love it but they are not that keen on this bale, it’s not as green as usual, perhaps that’s due to the drough and hot temperatures last summer. Got a small bag of B&M hay with dandelion and marigold, they are tucking into this at the moment. Can’t get over the price £1.99 for small bag and £4 for a bale and it’s organic too!
