Ive been told to get Alfalfa for Lincoln for more protien but i cannot find any apart from in food ( dont want to change his diet). Is timothy hay just as good for protien?

Well the herb one from pets at home has a lot of timothy hay in it and should be okay I would have thought. Was it the vet who told you to get the alfalfa? Maybe ring him and ask him if the pets at home one would be okay if you aren't sure?hmmm i have no idea. i was just told to make sure he ate loads of it. dont know what to now. maybe get timothy hay instead?
I've just seen something on vetuk website that might be helpful, It's called Verm X It's made from alfalfa and contains a probiotic but It's just something you feed alongside his normal diet rather than change food or hay etc
