I hear about all these different hays but don't know where you all find them, do you buy online?

Also do you put your hay in a hay rack or something else?

I find my hay to be very very messy, is this just the norm?

Thanks, Kerri :)

I have meadow hay in a big litter tray and a hay rack (I buy it by the bale) but also have some other more expensive treat hays which I sprinkle over the meadow hay so that the girls can forage for it.
I usually buy from Animal Magic as they do small sample packs, which are a great idea as some have proved more popular than others. My girls love Burns Oat Hay, Oxbow Orchard Grass and Readigrass. :)

And I'm afraid that hay mess is something you have to learn to live with. x

I buy hay by the bale cheap from a stable and give it to them in a big crate that forms their upstairs. Hay creates mess, it's pretty inevitable...

In my opinion allowing bigs lots of hay to sleep in, eat, hide under, wee on and gernerally mess about with is the best way of spoiling them. I buy and make considerable amounts of fancy hideys and beds, but they wouldn't trade in their hay for anything :)

I throw away a lot of hay that has been soiled, but as they love it so much I don't consider it wasted. A bale lasts me about a month or so (I'm very generous with hay...) but it costs me less than £3, so a very cheap toy, nutrition, hidey and entertainment all in one!
