Hay4pets. Piggy Heaven

Just had my first delivery from hay4pets. All my 4 boys love it. Tunnelling in it and eating there way out. Lots of wheeks and popcorning.
have to say I'm really Impressed with the quality of the hay, and the ammount you get too. Any tips how best to keep the hay would be welcome. Very happy piggies. Extremely happy mummy xx

I have it in the bag it came it at the moment, but its loosened and the bag is left wide open so it can air and not go mouldy.

Yeah I've left mine open might put a few holes in it to keep the air circulating xx

What size bag do people get and how long does it tend to last?

I would recommend storing hay 4 pets hay in some sort of "breathable" container - even if it's just a cardboard box or old duvet. It's lovely hay - but it does have a natural moisture content and I don't want to risk it going mouldy.

I get the 4.5 kilo size and find it fits perfectly in a jumbo horseware wash bag.


I know it's not the cheapest way to keep it - but I've found it's the most convenient for me

I do usually store mine in a pop up breathable laundry bag, but I broke it, not had chance to pick up a new one yet.

I get the 9.5kg bags, last me ages with 6 pigs! Around 8 weeks.

My latest lot came in a cardboard box! I thought they'd changed it, but doesn't sound like anyone has this!
