Haybox

Hi all, I've seen a lot of threads that recommend haybox and I have a question which seems kind of silly to me but I feel the need to ask anyway lol - when you open the haybox do you just set it down and let them jump in and do their thing or take it out and place it as you usually would? I saw pictures of animals in there and my first thought was aren't they gonna pee and poo all over it?

i would take a portion out of the box and place into your guinea pigs habitat !

They animals would have been put in the boxes for photographic purposes. Even the 2.5kg boxes are far too big to just give them the box full in one go.
