hi
everytime i feed my pigs hay they sneeze someone suggested to me about haycubes i was wondernig if anyone knew where i could get them from to stop my piggies from sneezing ? :)
 
Oooh! You can get Hay Cookies from most pet stores :) Pets@Home do them and also The Range.
 
thanks, wasnt sure if i had to go somewhere like countrywide. will they provide enough hay in them ? i normally give mine alot of hay to last , will it be the same for these cookies ?
 
Same as what Abbyguinea said. I know Burgess do hay cubes and they will be available from their stockists, you could contact them and request a sample? And ask for a list of stockists in your area.

I have more piggies than there are hay cookies in a pack so I do not tend to buy hay cookies that often but when I have, one cookie has lasted two piggies and there is often some left over when I do the clean!
 
oh ok , that sounds excellent , my two dont share , i give them the same but they tend to try and steal the others when there not looking
 
You get about 6 cookies in the pack and they are quite chunky!

I gave one to my rabbit and he couldnt finish it all! There is quite alot of hay in the cookies :)
 
I just bought some hay cookies from the naturals range you get 7 cookies which is equivalent of 1kg of hay but they are expensive (£4.99) and my pigs wouldn't touch them and considering they chew everything else to see how chewable it may be it's pretty odd. Even when I crumbled them up they weren't fussed. I'm not convinced that they are that good. How much do you pigs sneeze when you give them their hay? Odd sneezes are to be expected. Also, what hay do you use? It could just be that the hay is dusty and changing to a different hay might help.
 
i use meadow hay but not in a bale in a covering, i fill there hay rack right to the top.
