Eleanor and Eliza get really excited when I give them their bowl of veg. Sometimes they will come out of their hutch, run around and then go back in. Well, Eliza came out of the hutch and as I was putting the veg bowl in, she jumped back in to the hutch and kind of head butted the pot bowl :( It made an awful thud noise and Eliza went a bit wobbly and swayed from side to side. I had to steady her as I didn't want her to fall :( After a few seconds, she appeared to be back to normal and started to chomp on the veg. I have checked her over and she seems fine but she won't let me check her teeth (it takes 2 of us to do it as she hates her mouth being touched). I just feel so guilty :(

these things happen
i caught one of jakecob's nails a few weeks ago took ages to stop bleeding he moved & i felt bad i was half way to the vets to get something to stop the bleeding when i got a call to say it had stopped still went to the vets & then ran a cross the road to get some willow toys^)

These things happen; she should be OK!

Bear was so excitied about food coming in a few months ago that he popcorned so much and ran straight into the side of the hutch! He did this funny sort of 'Wheek?!' noise and then just started munching on the veg.

I know we all love them soooo much but sometimes I think they're hardy-er than we give them credit for!

Cornflour works to stop the bleeding, if you nick the quick when your cutting nails:)

It was just seeing her stunned and un steady that worried me. I have had a look at her mouth and she has a very small kind of red bump on her mouth :( I hope she learns for next time. Her and Eleanor have just had floor time and she is back to her normal self.

Aww bless you Claire, I'm glad that she seems to back to normal now.

They can be very dopey can't they; Bailey hates been caught (loves the cuddles once we've actually caught him though) and last week he went running off when my partner reached in the cage for him and ran straight into the base of the ramp! I was shouting at my poor fella to be careful and he was like "It wasn't me, he shouldn't be so naughty should he?!" Lol, when we'd caught him, i was fussing over him and spoiling him with peppers and cucumber and OH was like "That's just rewarding his bad behaviour that is"

LOL, honestly I don't know what we'll be like when we actually have human children. Hehe

Sorry, went off on a tangent there. Hope Eliza has learnt her lesson now, bless her. x

Don't worry about it, it is only like us bashing our faces. She will be ok. :)

Poor soul, but I'm sure she'll be ok, if she seems normal now then no long term harm done :)
