Ok, so it's no secret that I'm extra-super paranoid since Picchu's ear infection. Machu is being weighed daily and kept an extra close eye on. But he does this head shake thing... I don't honestly know if he's always done it, because he's young and hasn't had that much close handling or stroking (he normally just sits on my lap or something). I know a head shake can be a sign of an ear infection, but I can't get him to a specialist vet until next Monday. I see little point in taking him to our usual household vet, who has quite basic cavvie knowledge and will probably go, "Yeah, he shakes his head, so what?" Anyway, they saw him 3.5 weeks ago for a routine check, which is when Picchu's ear discharge was discovered (Machu was given the all clear) and we started treating with drops.

I've had a good look in his ears tonight, and there is no build up etc. that I can see. He seems completely fine, no head tilts, balance issues, loss of appetite, lethargy, whatever.

He's going to a specialist vet next Monday REGARDLESS, but I don't want to be a nervous wreck until then... Can anyone have a look at this video and offer an opinion as to whether I should be massively concerned, or this is normal piggie behaviour and NOT horrible definite-ear-infection-shaking? Just to add, he's been in his playpen next to me almost all day the last two days, and I haven't seen him do this ONCE of his own accord. It's only when I do... what I'm doing in the video, basically.

Incidentally, if this is of the "looks-ok-but-keep-an-eye-on-it" variety, I still have the Tiacil eye drops the vet prescribed for Picchu's ears. What's in them? Are they ok to use sort of... any time, for cleaning etc.? Should I use them on him for this week? Or is there something in them that means I should NOT use them on Machu without a separate vet exam? I can't tell from the box if they're antibiotic etc. or just plain old cleansing-type drops.

The head shake looked perfectly normal to me - irritation at having the hair messed up around their ears will cause any pig to do that.
