Hey,

I have two guinea pigs both male and both a year old, ones called Morph and the other Gillespie.

I noticed the other day that both there hair was falling out, I did some googling and found it was most likely a fungal infection, I took them both to the vets but she wasn't very helpful, she didn't really tell me anything. I was given some treatment for the mites and also some mycozole for the fungal infection.

I was just wondering how long it usually takes to clear up?

I checked Morph this morning and even more of his hair has fallen out just wondering if this was normal.

They're also eating a little less than they normally do I don't no whether this is due to the whether being warmer or not.

I also just tried Morph with basil and he wouldn't have any and basil is his favourite.

Mine had a fungal infection, I treated them twice a day for just over 2 weeks, some areas cleared sooner than others. I kept treating 3 days after it was clear and went back to vets for all clear. I also disinfected hutch every day. Now its all clear and hair is growing back. Hope your guys get better soon x

Hey

Cheers, I'm taking them back to the vets today because of Morph hardly eating, he's usually a really good eater, so I just want to make sure that there is nothing else wrong with him.

Thank you for your help
