Can you all keep little Milo in your thoughts today as he is being neutered. I am currently sat outside the vets waiting for them to open.

I'm scared something could go wrong and will be worried until I hear that he is ok.

Aw, sending lots of healing vibes to little Milo and big hugs to you, I’m sure he will be fine, try think about his future life with the ladies x

All the best!

Neutering operations: Considerations, post-op care and a successful recovery example

I have just managed to book in Gethin for an emergency lump removal as a small sebaceous cyst in a rather awkward location has suddenly blown up; so I am going to be there, too, a bit later today... I'd rather not hang around over the weekend fretting about it bursting over the weekend... :(
Thinking of little Gethin too x

All the best and fingers firmly crossed!

Hope Gethin is ok. Fingers and paws crossed for him.

I have read the guides and I am just off home to clean and prepare his cage for later. I'm most worried because he won't eat when he is scared. The vet said that if he hasn't eaten within an hour of coming round from the anaesthetic they will syringe feed him. I have CC ready at home too.

Your good care will make the difference! He will hopefully feel better and happier again once he is back home and come round again to settling down again within a day or two. ;)

Oh bless him. I remember the worrying wait for the vets call all too well. Try to keep yourself busy until the phone rings

When my previous boy Errol was neutered, he wouldn’t eat either, but the vets said he was probably just stressed about being there so let me pick him up and bring him home. First thing he did when he got in was eat parsley, so if he doesn’t eat there then that could be a reason too.

Sending all positive vibes for Milo, he'll appreciate it when he gets his ladies!
I think he will have to manage with one lady as i only have room for a 4x2 cage. He is currently living in a borrowed 3x2 until his new cage arrives. He has all new fleece liners arriving too.

We had to get rid of the bed settee out of our spare room and buy a table to put the cage on. I'm hoping Allan doesn't add up the costs!

He'll love his wife and when she comes along she will have a fab home with you!

Sending Milo (and you) gentle hugs x
I’m just waiting to hear how Howard is. I’m looking after him for Helen and he’s been admitted for surgery to flush a stone. Ouch

Just rang the vet and all went well, he has just come round from the anesthesia. I'm picking him up at 4pm.

That is great news!

Gethin is in theatre now and I have still got at least another hour's wait... :(
By the time we were seen, the lump had already grown even more and started to attach to things, so fingers crossed that the op is not going to be too complicated.

Milo is home and was munching a bit of hay when I just looked in. He had been syringe fed at the vets and hasn't pooped yet, so I will keep checking on him.

Thanks for everyone's support. xx
