My 9.5 month old Aby, Harley is poorly and on his second vet visit in a week, has been diagnosed with a nasty bout of Cystitis.
Antibiotics and painkillers on day 3 (today) seem to have helped a little but the little guy is still not eating much He seems to be having issues pooing, straining and is in pain. I've just checked he hasn't got a pellet stuck and dabbed a little olive oil on his back passage which seems to have relieved his discomfort - he's actually asleep now on vet bed and a heat pad so appears comfy.
I know Septrin causes upset digestion so have given him probiotics too, he will eat small amounts of red pepper, cucumber and melon only despite enticing him with other nicey things. Hay and a sprinkle of Alfalfa have roused his interest a little but not as much as I hoped for.
He really is a lovely and cheeky pig and his brother keeps sniffing around wondering why he's not playing again today
Healing vibes needed for Harley please or any advice welcomed warmly.
