Hey not been on for a while,we recently took on a heavily pregnant sow who delivered one beautiful baby but something is definitely not right with her.she cannot walk in a straight line for straight for any matter she wobbles then kind of falls to the side.shes eating drinking and gaining weight just something with her head.she sometimes looks perfectly fine sitting until she starts walking.its as though her head is too heavy.I'm thinking possible brain damage but haven't a clue how tell.eyes and ears look clear? I'm worried take her vets incase they say pts but she squeaks when you walk in room etc.shes about 15 days old

The are other reasons than brain damage for lack of balance - inner ear infection, parasite (EC) are just two off the top of my head. Without going to a good cavy vet you will not know if it is a treatable condition and you may lose her without treatment. The fact that she is growing despite the lack of balance is encouraging, I have had disabled pigs with vestibular syndrome and they go on to have normal (for them) lives.

If you give your location we should be able to recommend a suitable vet.

Update, took baby vets and she doesnt think ear infection or ec.physicaly apart from lack of balance she can't see anything majorly wrong.said there may be some neurological problem she may recover from she may not.as long as she continues eat and do any we going see how she goes on.never seen her suckle from mum but mums got plenty of milk so I presume she is
