i wasn't sure where to post this, but this seemed the best section to post it in. so. i was wondering how many teeth guinea pigs have, jsut outta curiosity. cause i always thought they had 2. one on top and one on bottom....:))rolleyes

mmmmmmm not exactly sure ............but they have two top and bottom they're the ones you can always see x) then they've got top and bottom molars like us too......i'm sure one of our lovely people will be able to help :)

Guinea pigs have 20 teeth:
A pair of upper and lower incisors
No canines (instead, a gap called the diastema)
A pair of upper and lower premolars
Three pairs of upper and lower molars

A guinea pig's teeth are "open rooted" and grow continuously.

Info found here http://www.guinealynx.info/teeth.html

I have felt the molars more than seen them (still not happy with my set of buccal pad separators). Tiny little teeth!
