Heartbroken...

A few may remember that in July, I had three boys living together happily until they suddenly started bullying and picking on poor little Boots and drawing blood... Boots got seperated from the other two boys and I got a baby boy from a friend who breeds them.

But now, 5 months on Boots is getting picked on by the baby boar I got and he has several bite marks on his rump... I've seperated them as Boots seem sore and withdrawn...

I'm at a terrible loss of what to do now as I've got three seperate pens of boars!

Any suggestions for entertainment? Or reasons why Boots seems to be hated rather a lot?

Any advice extremely gratefully received... x

Poor Boots - some boars are born to be bullied as they cannot stand up for themselves. Please make sure that you disinfect any wounds and monitor for abscesses in the coming weeks.
What solution you finally go for depends on your rescue and/or vet access. You can always keep your boys as next door neighbours with interaction through the bars.

Poor Boots sounds like he may be a socially inept piggy. Just like some humans, there are some piggies who seem destined to be bullied. Poor little chap.

Really disappointed... I'll have to order a new cage today for ickle boots... I live on a island so there's no rescues and only one vet. I'll take a look at that page and work out what to do. Thanks Wiebke and Vicki!
