if you find your guinea pig has heat stroke,he will be floppy, his eyes will be droping or closed, breathing *** be shallow and might be drooling.
what you will need to do is put the piggy on a cool surfaceand put an ice pack wrapped in a towel next to it, then phone the vets. they will either give you instructions or take the little piggy to them. when my little one had heat stroke we dabbed a bit of cold water over her to cool her down and we put her on a tiled floor. we force feeded her water and sprayed her with a little bit of water.

I am very sorry! It is very upsetting for you and your other piggy.

Are you aware that you can rebond bereaved guinea pigs of all ages at a good rescue with a new friend of their own choice?

I thought putting them On or near something ice cold can put them into shock.

Spraying water on them is a no no to.

it is only a very fine mist and the ice pack is wrapped up in a towel :-l i am looking at the wheek and dqueak site case thats quite quick
