Heated pigs

My AC stopped working and its the 4th of july, so i can’t have anyone come and fix it. The guinea pigs are seeming to be overheated. It’s 91°F and only getting hotter. Ive tried putting frozen water bottles in cage, but they dont seem to use them. It’s really scaring me, i just want them to be okay. Any ideas?

Another member mentioned about placing a cold damp towel over part of the cage which I thought sounded sensible.

Cold damp towels Kitchen tiles or anysort of cold ceramic tile for them to lay on will help. Keep curtains drawn also help.

Our AC stopped working today too, it always happens at the worst time. It is 93 here, over 80 degrees in the house, luckily we have a basement so I have moved the piggies to a temporary cage there. The temp says about 73 down there.

Have you got a fan? If you placed a bowl of icy water in front of a fan and let that gently blow over the cage that would help.
