i asked this before years ago i think, but anyway... :red

do you think it would be too much for maisie and eddie to have a snugglesafe aswell as the heating being on through the night? i can't turn it up anymore than i have been because matt (one of my rabbits) gets too warm, whereas bisc (my other rabbit) and maisie and eddie, could do with it being a little higher.

i have been leaving it on about 19/20 recently but the piggies are still cold in the morning. they have coldish ears.

we have the front door and back door in the same room downstairs, so it's probably colder than most houses. upstairs is boiling though typically rolleyes

thanks :)

I would think a snugglesafe would be fine, as well as the heating. After all, they really only get "warm" rather than hot - the beauty of them is that they retain the warmth for such a long period. And you don't have your heating on super high, either.

thanks for the reply. i think i will put it in their bed area under the hay then. x

Our girls are in a large run in our conservatory. During the winter we have a thermostatically controlled fan heater switched on. The temperature is usually 15 to 20 degrees depending on how cold it is outside. I suppose if it's too warm for them they'll come out of their snugglesafe. Ours have wooden houses filled with hay but when they're warm they'll just lounge in a the outside area.

I dont have the heating on during the night or during the day much and 20 degrees on a night would be I would get zero hours kip. My house is still warmer than outside by many degrees and much steadier in temperature so I dont think they are badly done to and at its coldest is 15 degrees without the heating on due to being a very well insulated terrace and both next door neighbours having their heating on full blast got to love naturally cold people heating your house for you.

i gave them the snugglesafe in their bed area and they were very excited! :)) i sleep on the settee in the same room downstairs and i usually feel cold, so i imagine they do aswell. they seemed warmer anyway this morning, and when i checked them through the night when i couldn't sleep, they were always under the hay so they must have been a bit cold. our house is on a corner so we have two open sides of the house, both with a door so it gets quite cold sometimes. i left the heating at 20 which was ok for the rabbits and me, and the piggies had their snugglesafe aswell and seemed more than happy so that's good. x

We've been without heating for over a week and using electric fan heaters. I keep one in the summerhouse for the piggies but turn it off during the night, and ensure there snuggle safes are fully loaded with maximum heat, lots of hay and squbes which they adore, I fact stick a snugglesafe Nader be of those, it stays warmer for longer as well.

So morning and night with the heat pads and they've been ok, just been keeping an eye on them really.
