One of my pigs keeps coughing/hiccuping, I assume it's heaving hiccups because it's like Peter Gurney describes on his website. She only does it when eating, and I think she shovels her veg down because her sister will take it off her! (sister also eats quickly but doesn't hiccup). The thing is, why doesn't she learn, and eat more slowly? Or is this something to worry about? There's nothing else wrong, no weight loss, no URTI.

The first time one of my piggies had heaving hiccups, I was hysterical and thought she was choking mallethead
It's something that is a bit scary to witness but even my very laid back boys occasionally do it and they don't rush for anyone so think it's just something that happens but admit I'm still very relieved when they stop rolleyes
Could you space the dishes at either end of the pen to stop one from stealing the food and keep any eye on them ? Sure if one of the girls is more dominant, the other would appreciate eating at her pace rather than rushing :)
