Heaving?

Hi everyone,

Just curious about this one.

I've noticed over the years (and I mean since I first got pigs in '97) they will occasionally heave.

If the case is they can't vomit, how can they do this when its the exact same reflex action? Unless it isn't that at all, it just looks like they are.

My piggies do this- i thought they wer choking on muesli. I dont ever remember a hiccup at the end though :S

I always wondered about this but never really thought to look into it until seeing Oliver do it earlier.

I know ferrets hiccup quite quietly and their bodies jolt slightly, maybe its a slight hiccup like that that pigs do so hardly noticeable?
