went for a walk this afternoon to clear my head about a few things and saw a box beside a hedge, and me being nosey had to look and guess what.... there was a tiny baby guinea pig in there. hes had his ear chewed alittle guessing another pig but in good health so i dont hes been there long. couldnt believe it. still in shock. hes currently sleeping on my lap all snug.

Who could leave any animal like that?

Thank goodness you were able to save him from god only knows what! Have you thought of any names yet?

Dee xx

He is absoloutely stunning! Thank goodnes you found him...

I just can't understand people. There's always someone who'll take an animal in need if you can't cope... There's no need to dump anything. Or wrap it in clingfilm for that matter. People are so selfish and hateful.

Live well little hedgie. You're ok now. x

OMG he's gorgeous! How could anyone do that to such an adorable piggie? He's got to be Hedgewick. :)

he's beautiful. I too think Hedgewheak :) suits him
you can always shorten it and call him Wheaky

OMG he's gorgeous..... whats the chances of a piggy person finding him ..... one very lucky piggy indeed ! Thank goodness you found him ..... wonder how many others are in boxes around the world that dont get found .....
x

Oh wow he's gorgeous! Who could just dump him in a hedge!?!?! It's unthinkable. Excuse the pun, but he really is a hedgehog :)) if he was a girl you could have used the name Tiggywinkle from Beatrix Potter :))

Oh he's beautiful it makes me so angry how people can be so cruel! Anyway, I think you should call him "Michael" after the "Angel of Miracles" x

What a lucky, handsome boy! Why can't people just hand in any pets they don;t want to keep anymore?

Yeah, he's young so I'm hoping to pair him up with one of single older boars. If that fails and I'm really hoping it won't come to that. Ill have to rehome him.

What the hell is wrong with some people?! :( thank god you found him. I swear these piggies must have some sort of calling for us GPF members to keep finding them! He is beautiful x

Do you think the g force novelty has worn off now? some people. At least hes safe now.

So glad you found him. He doesn't look tiny, he looks big! A friend once called me saying he didn't know what to do, but there was a cage with a hamster in it dumped next to the bins. I told him to go fetch it, but by the time he went back, it had gone. The dustmen don't pass that early, so I am sure some other person took him home. Makes me mad that people can treat animals as if they are a table or a chair!!

I have a funny feeling this one was bought by kids and parents weren't happy. He is tiny lol camera zoomed he fits in my hand. From looks he's only just over a month old little on the skinny side. His face reminds me of a little calf lol. Such a character already showing.

whats the chances of a piggy person finding him. . . wonder how many others are in boxes around the world that dont get found
I spent part of the day yesterday wondering the same things. I never hear of it happening here; here it's dogs and cats and even the occasional horse; a lady I know to speak with occasionally has a horse that her son found tied up in the woods and left to starve.
Is there a police or sheriff's department or other constabulary to which these guinea pigs in boxes and clingfilm and other things can be reported? Is there a news source that could run a story about it and maybe draw the public's attention to it so that even if it doesn't stop, more people would look in the boxes and find the animals? Thank goodness you found this baby. Hedgewick or Hedgewheak or maybe even Boxton?

Oh how shocking! Thank goodness you found the poor little baby. People are cruel. He could have been eaten left there. :( He is very handsome. x)

Just a little update ~ he's settling in well had a vet check up all fine he was introduced to dongle, dongles trying to mount him but little one isn't having any of that lol but alot of rumbling. He's learning from dongle actions quite happy to eat from my hand already. He's still quite shy. Dongle loves acting like a dad figure protecting the little guy if me or the bf go to check on him.
