Our little "elf" passed this am and my children will be heart-broken! I am sobbing. I am searching for answers, does anyone know if I may have hurt our guinea by using trash bags on the bottom of the cage under the bedding? We did give her romaine lettuce last week, maybe much?
Our other guinea pig "Scar" seems fine. Elf had a little diarrea in the last two days? I wish I had some answers, she seemed fine last night. I am just shocked at this loss, I will take our other pig to the vet when I get paid in a couple of days. Again, the other pig seems fine.

I am sorry for your loss but stop and breathe.
There is no way of knowing why your piggy passed away unless she had been noticeably ill.
Sadly this is part of the price we pay for loving our pets.
Yes - your children will be heartbroken too but help them to grieve and let them know that you are grieving too.
Loss is part of life and we all have to try to cope with it.
It’s s good idea to take the other piggy to the vet,
