Hi can anyone advise please my male piggy is 3yrs 10mnth has lost the use of his back legs and become incontinent. Vet has put him on metacam until Tuesday then said if no better we have to make THE decision and equate his value of life. As you can all imagine I have sobbed over the thought of losing my piggy Patch. Please has anyone ever come across this before
 
What dose of Metacam did the vet put him on? Is it dog or cat metacam? So sorry this has happened to you and your piggy. What did the vet diagnose?

Hi put him on 0.46 on the syringe once a day until Tuesday it's the cat one. I'm devestated. She thinks maybe nerve damage with him losing use of his back legs and being incontinent

Unfortunately the cat strength one isn't the best.The dog strength is the better one.Has your vet done any tests?

I am very sorry for the sudden paralysis; it always comes as a nasty shock.
Has your vet checked the bladder/urethra and not just the spine?

Hi all Patch seems a lot better today. We are back to the Vet tonight so fingers crossed
 
Hi all great news, Patch has started to use his back legs and is no longer incontinent. He's staying on the Metacam for another 7/10 days vet did reaction tests and all looks promising, thank god for miracles xx
