Help blood in pee

Have you noticed any irregular habits as far as urinating or drinking?
Na she is behaving totally fine and eating everything but right now she's peeing frequently nothing else

Any more pink or red in the pee?

@Lady Kelly it's 723 grams right now

That means that she hasn't lost any weight at all - the difference between before and after a meal can be 30-40g and between a full and emtpy bladder 10g. So no reason to worry!

Nothing is going to happen until you have sat your exam. This is not an emergency but a developing infection that you have caught VERY early on. In between reddish pees your girl will still make perfectly normal and pain-free pees - like you do at the very onset of a human cystitis.

I definitely feel better now I just took a painkiller for my throbbing head ache and would sleep some hours now to get my mind on track thank u everyone i would keep u updated!❤❤❤

Try to calm down by sucking up green life energy from the ground and sending it to your girl as well as filling yourself, so you have the strength in yourself and are also sending healing thoughts.

Then get the exam out of the way so you can be there for your girl without worrying about the rest of your life. ;)

Whenever you feel overwhelmed, try to tap into this reservoir of green strength and when you worry about your girl, send her a healing thought and then go back to the task.

Best of luck for tomorrow!

Best wishes from me👍. Cant really add anything, my sow does pee pink urine sometimes, but she has intertestial cystitis, it comes and goes and she does sometimes Do a little yelp whilst peeing. It's never affected her appetite. Don't worry and just rest your head.

Just came back from the vet..... He said he can't say it do anything because he doesn't knows about guinea pig😭 I showed him this forum as a help too but he refused😭😭 I asked him can anyone else see my piggy here and he suggested a general vet but I checked him on Google and he has only 1 star reviewed by 22 people😭😭 I don't know what to do

I really hope the vet hasn't made you pay for anything. Just do you're best to try and get an antibiotic from a vet. It might be all you can do

Actually we can't buy here any medicine without the doctors prescription it's illegal I begged that vet showing the links wiebke sent me that please give is a written prescription of a metacam and enfloraxin so if anything worse happens we could give her a very little amount to see if it helps but he clearly said no I can't give u that🙁 now I m trying to find them online still no luck

Not all cystitis needs antibiotics. Often it can be inflammatory cystitis that responds well to an anti-inflammatory pain relief such as Metacam/Loxicom.
They are not even giving me meloxicam 🙁 I m searching the internet now

I think I can buy ibuprofen online will it be fine? The link @Wiebke sent me had it in it too

I am very sorry about your lack of vet access. Hopefully you can find a vet that is willing to see her.

At least you have some time for your research as - and I say it again - it usually takes a few days until a UTI or cystitits, whether they are bacterial or sterile (non-bacterial) is getting going. ;)

Ibuprofen is less than ideal for guinea pigs and is really your very last resort. Please try and see whether you can find a vet that is willing to see you.

I tried calling I think 4-5 vets in my city more no one is ready to check her right now🙁 one said he is in usa right now and would come back till 5-7 days

I wish pet shops educate their customers about the needs of guinea pigs. I rescued my 2 piggies from a really bad pet shop they were ready to be dog food but I was right on time. I never thought they would need a specialized vet. Nevermind though I ll not complain and try to find a vet or some meloxicam for my piggy

If he is willing to see you, then please see him as soon as he is back. You have about 3-5 days before things get fully going anyway, so the gap is not as long as you may think. Many of our US or Canadian members have to wait for that length of time to get a vet appointment even for an urgent problem anyway.
Please do not give any painkiller on spec without there being any symptoms.

No not at all I won't give it to her I ll just try to keep one extra if things escalate down suddenly or something happens and that too if that happens I ll try to give it to her very less until then we are waiting for the vet to come back to India and take his prescription and then buy medicine

HUGS

Hang on in there!

No I'm not saying buy it not at a vets, but if you could use one of the antibiotics mentioned in here, and try get any vet to give you some. Then i think that would be better than leaving a possible uti untreated. I mean I could be wrong, I don't think I am though. Hope all is well soon.

I would never buy any animal medicine or medicine for myself online or anywhere else other than a vet or a pharmacy
Thank you don't worry I decided not to buy it I ll wait till 5-6 days until the vet comes

I feel yor pain , living where there are little to no vets that treat guinea pigs. Not ideal atall, but how the hell were you to know they need specialist vets, like you said
