Hi. My guinea pigs have been fighting lately I’ll tell you guys the story. So it was a Tuesday night and I was watching the guinea pigs and then Colt started getting on top of Cory. I think they were fighting because of dominance. Cory had to bite him for protection. He is one month younger than Colt. We have separated them for two nights now. Please help!

Hi and welcome!

Please take the time to read these guides here. They explain about behaviours and about the teenage months between 4-14 months of age, including how you can figure out whether a boar bond is still working or not. They will hopefully answer any questions you may have.
Boars: Teenage, Bullying, Fighting, Fall-outs And What Next?
Bonding: Illustrated Dominance Behaviours And Dynamics

Once there has been a serious deep bite, it is usually the end of the road. Please have any deep bites vet checked. They may need an antibiotic. If they have only nipped, then it is not serious.

Teenage boars need lots of space. How big is your cage? We recommend a minimum of 2x5 ft/2x4 C&C grids for two boars to give them a chance to get away from each other.

I’m almost crying because we have decided to separate forever. Colt’s aggression is too much for Cory. It was just a little nip.
