I've just received my grids and unpacked them. I've discovered the connectors included are only useful in one direction if you see what I mean. Is that why most of you use cable ties? There are some other smaller clips but not enough by far. can I buy more of these and if so where from? I was looking forward to getting started tomorrow but my transport is unavailable until Sunday and I needed some mdf and legs so I will have to postpone. Meanwhile if any of you could advise me on the best way to connect the grids, how to score the board and how to measure it correctly so it's not too 'loose' in the grids I would be eternally grateful. I'm also aiming to construct a 4 x 1 loft which will need supporting, whats the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance everyone,
Jo

Ok, so I'm officially thick! I was struggling to work out how the connectors worked if I wanted to use them vertically. I didn't get it so I looked on here at other peoples cages and found a closeup of the connectors. They were slightly different to mine but when I inspected mine they worked the same way. It was tricky to actually see that bit of them I must add in my defence! The upshot of this is I now have a half built cage and I'm waiting for the rest of the grids/connectors to arrive to be able to finish it. I'm still wondering how I'm going to manage to cut the correx seeing as the only big enough surface is the raised decking outside and I can't bend or kneel because of my knee op. But I will do it, I won't be beaten even if I have to sit on a chair at the side. When I've finished I will have an L shaped 4 x 2 x 4 with a loft. I will be posting pictures so watch this space!

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your cage! I really ned to start building mine :/
