noticed some scabs and dry flaky skin behind drusilla's ear, tried to take some pics. does anyone know what it is? at first i thought maybe a bite but her and the other girlies get on really well and are always snuggling together.
i gave all the piggies a bath with johnsons incecticidal shampoo about a week ago.
she's not really scratching that much either from what i've observed.
there's no other patches on her and the other piggies are fine? help! ?/

looks like a trip to the vets.

To hazzard an experienced guess, mange but I stand by my statement above as speedy correct treatment will result in speedy recovery

Looks like it could be mites.... She needs to go to the vets for treatment, before it spreads and into the other pigs, Good luck x

Can't offer any advice on what it could be. Please take her to the vets to get it checked out.

Just echoing what the other members have suggested a trip to the vets is the way to go :)

back from the vet, she gave her an injection of baytril (she squeeled when the needle went in)! and a course of antibiotics. she said that it was most likely an flea bite thats been really itchy and its become infected from all the scratching. she looked over the other girls and said they look clean and healthy. will keep an eye and see if it improves. thanks for your help and advice guys, as always much appreciated xx>>>

Pls keep an eye on her gut on baytril. It's notorious for being rough on guts so your pig might need help to make sure it keeps moving. I give probiotic on baytril, but if you're worried, go back to the vet and discuss zan tac (all one word btw). You can stimulate the gut by gentle massage.

Awwwwwwwwww ive been wondering how she got on so pleased that the vet gave her some baytril and shes on the mend. me, the boys, percyroo and tabby send love and get well soon wheeks xxxxx
