My poor little girl nibbles has got to go on a low calcium diet as she has an infection and a grainy looking wee. She is a little bit of a fussy monsterso I need suggestions on what greens I can give her. She has been through so much this year as she had cysts in her that could only be removed by a hysterectomy! So she is very special and I want her to still enjoy eating. Suggestions please, the vet gave me a list but wanted to know what you guys do x

Bell peppers are low in calcium and high in Vit c. There is a Forum Guide to special dietary needs piggies, look on the forums tab.

Hi!
Please have a look at our diet recommendations for guinea pigs with urinary tract issues. Make sure that you also look at pellets and water - more calcium comes that way than with veg. Specific tips to all of these aspects in the guide.

Also get hold of some cystease (glucosamine bladder food supplement for cats (the other species prone to bladder problems, so it is not a medication). It helps to strengthen the natural glucosamine coating of the bladder walls.

One huge move you can make is buy a water filter . Wilko sell them cheap and their catridges are cheaper. Both my pigs are on low calcium diets
