Help Fungal, Or Parasitic?

I just got a young guinea pig about a week ago. Ive noticed some bald dandruff looking areas not sure if its fungal or parisitic.. Ive googled alot and I'm still not sure.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure where to buy either treatment specifically for guinea pigs, especially ivermectin. So that would be awesome too. I would upload a pic if i knew how so I'm going to describe the best i can. Its a bald spot with dandruff areas that are flakey if i rub them. i dont really see scabs or sores. She seems happy for the most part i just love my new baby and want to do whatever i can... But not being able to find supplies needed is no good... Please help. If you know how to add photos please let me know how also.... Thanks

Hi! Please have your guinea pig seen by a vet, so it gets a proper diagnosis and treatment.

If it has been bought from a pet shop, then you should be able to present the vet bill together with the bill of sale to reclaim the vet cost, as the infection/exposure must have happened before the sale.

You always need to treat both piggies for skin complaints. Please do not keep any guinea pigs on their own; they are wired to be group animals in constant contact with their species. It is even more stressful for them than the move to a environment and into a pet situation when they have hardly had any human contact before. :agr: with Wiebke - please get a vet to see your guinea pig. And, until you know what it is , please be extra vigilant about washing your hands - just in case it is something humans can catch too.
 
Thank you very much. This is a few pics of what it looks like. And unfortunately i did not get her from a pet store. I got her from someone who seems to have a guinea pig problem... Over 30 between a house and a building.. And they keep breeding... But i plan on getting her and her sister taken care of.. They are my babies and i love them to death already... Thank you very much for your comment.
 
I don't know how old you are - and, I don't want you to take on too much - your guinea pigs are your priority - but, these people should really be reported .
