Help! Guinea pig after dental, I don;t know what to do

He has hay and very soft blanket as I know piggies can get pododermatites from hard floor (not sure how to spell it).thank you for that:) x
 
All my pigs with white feet tend to be quite pink on the pads but I've never seen red. Is he really warm? Cavy Corner are in Doncaster so may be able to help you as Snowpig has been receiving dental treatment and I know their advice line is open
 
I have tried them but their on holiday, some other lady is there but gave me an advice, there is apparently something called vet bed or something like that at pets at home so that might sort his feet out. He has progressed now, putting weight on and pooping properly, although poops are smaller than normal ones and still impacting a bit but better than before :) so I'm happy:):)
 
I get vet bed from dogsproductsdirect.com You have to wash and dry it three times before using it making sure you do not use fabric conditioner. I really hope your little one will soon be well.
 
Thank you! He is picking up and I've noticed he is eating on his own at night. We've gone from completely liquidated veg to very finely grated and weight is just shooting up so everyday is better :)
 
I hope next week we will see someone to make sure his teeth are ok! I have heard it might take weeks for him to fully get better but I'm prepared for that! It's just a shame Simon is so fat but I also decided that if we come across any more trouble, I'm going straight in to see him! Xx
 
I think the reason we have such success is because Simon can follow up treatment regularly, as he does conscious dentals. Little Toby is doing very well, but needed a little work on his teeth yesterday to tidy things up and file away some spikes and length, just six days after the first treatment. He will see Toby again next week, and then if all going well we will start to stretch out the time between treatments. I'm so glad your vet will be checking your piggy again next week. Weigh regularly too. You're doing a great job xx
