I was putting my guinea pig back in her cage and she leaped out of my hands and fell about 6 inches. It was a sloppy landing into bedding but I didn't think too much about it until I saw her rapidly walking in circles (the way dogs do when they chase their tails). When she's not walking in circles, her head seems really shaky. I'm really scared.

It's 11:30 pm my time
She's 3 months old

There's definitely something wrong with her. She's never acted this way before.

I have a video of the behavior but I don't know how to upload it

To upload a video, you need to put it onto a 3rd party site and then post the link here. Could you update your location so that would can tailor our advice to you? From your timezone, I'm assuming Eastern USA or Canada. How did she land? Did she land on her feet? 6 inches (15cm) isn't THAT high for a piggy to fall if they land okay.

Unfortunately this does happen piggies are wriggly, very scary for you and her the important thing is checking out any possible injuries so Please get her checked over at a vet today.

:agr: with Sport Billy . Unfortunately , you can't turn the clock back - but the best thing you can do is get her checked by a vet.

:agr: With the above posters. Don't beat yourself up - these things happen. But if in doubt see a veterinarian.

It's true it does happen with piggies and even experienced owners, I have some right wrigglers, I find putting them into tube or something to put them before going into the cage or hutch or I put them in backwards so they can't see where they are going.

I hope you've managed to get your piggy to the vet, it's really important you have her checked out.

How is your piggy this morning? I am very sorry; it can happen, especially with wiggly younger piggies, and it happens to most long term owners at some point.

Try to put her back either bum forwards, so she not so tempted to jump or use a kind of conveyance to prevent any jumps in the future.
