Hello. I have posted here before.
I got two guinea pigs in January they where ment to be girls
I brought them from pets at home what I know is soo stupid!
I felt so sorry for them and brought them I will never ever get a
Non rescued pet again.
but I was told they are two girls.
When I got home I found out they had fleas.
So I took them down the vets and treated them
but when I said there two girls the vet said no there
Two boys.
I love them loads and they are my babies.
I am up at 2am writing this at tonight I think they attacked
Each other.
For a few days they kept facing each other swaying there bums.
tonight at 10 they where really really loud and squeeking!
Really really loud!
I thought something was up so kept my eye on them.
After that they kept squeeking and then started chattering.
Then all of a sudden they where jumping and rolling and what seemed like biteing.
I've had to put a seperation in their cage and now the black one what
Is the more dominant one seems much happier he's eating hay what I never see him eat. it's weird cos the black on guards his house So i had to get 2 igloos but he doesn't seem to ever eat a lot but he is now. Where the brown one used to sleep outside and eats everything!

I don't no what to do. I really have no idea.
So scared to put them together again.
Any help would be much apperiated as I can't even sleep :(

BIG HUGS XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

egads boys!

Have you checked them both for bite wounds? it's best to find out in case they become infected. If unsure i'd get them looked at by a vet.

They're both in their teens at the moment, so they're VERY hormonal :{

Have you loooked thru the behaviour threads up the top ? there's some great advice in them.... i'll pop the link on for you, i'll also put the rebonding one on too

Thank you.
I'll have a look now,
I've checked them over and they haven't drawn blood.
But I have a black long haired guniea pig and it's so hard to see anything on him. I can't believe this had happen. They have been fine unroll now.
There in a big cage and there very well looked after.
I'm going to check them again in the morning as well.
They can't get to each other ATM.
I'm so scared Ive herd they'll fight to the death if they want :(

Boys really do need a lot of room, whee tried extending our house for the boys but they unfortunately still fought! whee separated them but their divider was mess so they spent hours sitting beside it chatting away. Tho whee were able to open the divider and let them have supervised play, once they were older they loved each others company even more. If i'd known what i know now i'd have tried rebonding them!

Whats also worrying is, that if they were in the "female" enclosure at the store then you can guarantee every female that they were in with will now be pregnant :(

Have you contacted the store to complain?
I would also take the vet bill to the store and get them to pay for any treatment they have had because of their blatant incompetence?

Sorry to hear your boys are fighting, mine are doing the same so I know ho upsetting it is
