I was putting the hay in Snickerdoodle's cage this morning. She tries to take it as soon as I feed her. She was standing all the way upright. I didn't notice but her front teeth got stuck, because she started to pull and flung backwards! Really freaked me out. Does that hurt their teeth!?!

Ouch! Can you please check whether her front teeth are still sitting firmly in her mouth. In that case, the chipped tooth should grow back quickly.

Finally got a hold of the vet's office. They said she should be fine and if need be they will clip it. This piggy can't catch a break. I feel like every morning I wake up I hope she isn't dead. :( She can't eat more then hay since she has loose stool and she is really small.

How do I check? She is going to the vet tomorrow morning. Should I have them do it, or me?

You can wait if you have an appointment already.

Just cut up any veg in strips tonight as her front teeth will hurt a bit and they are easier to pick up for her that way.
Your vet can check whether the tooth in question is sitting loose and he should be able to deal with it - clipping may not be necessary if the problem is minor. Front teeth are self-sharpening and get each other back in shape.

One of my boys has a habit of hanging off the bars (which we only noticed recently). He started losing his teeth around 6 months ago, after many vet trips and lots of syringe fed food we realised it was him pulling the bars and snapping hiso teeth, we have now put perspex along two sides of his big cage so he can no longer pull the bars. Xx

I think she did it totally by accident. She was soooo excited about getting food. We got to the vet tomorrow morning. She seems to be eating okay. I hope nothing got loose.

Aww bless her. It's so easily done. I hope she's okay! If they do lose their teeth they grow back rather fast so don't panic too much! Silly piggies xx
