Hi all,

I need some advice,

Yesterday I goy Royston my 3 year old boar a new freind, a 5 month old boar, and everything seemed to be going ok, Roy if deffo the dominant boar and they have been getting on ok, a few rumbles and teeth chatters and what have you but just now Roy just flew at the little one!

We seperated them immediately and gave them a bit of a time out and some hugs and Ive just put them back in together,

There was no blood spilt but I'm worried about what to do now...

Roy is being a bit of a bully chasing him around,

any advice?

Have a read through your previous posts, see if there is anything you didn't do here

Also, you need to stick with it. Every time you separate, it's like starting the intro again, so just double check you did everything right. If you keep stopping and starting the intro, it is no longer an intro, and may not work the same. x

Remember introduce them in a neutral environment where their is no territory owned. Maybe even put a little perfume on your hands so when handling them they both smell the same.

.

If you are worried try bathing them together, it makes them smell the same and as most pigs don't like baths i have found it creates a tighter bond.

Thanks for the advice,

They are back together now, my boyf put them back this morning, they seem ok but roy is deffo a big bossyboots and he keeps rumbling at the little one, and the little one seems to be squeaking back saying 'what have i done roy? i wanna be your freind!'

I hope Roy will mellow out, I am getting them a bigger cage so they have more room, as they seem to be happier in the run together, so iv kitted it out and I'm going to see if they prefer that until I get the bigger cage (getting a double tier one so they can be apart if they want)

I realised I have been posting in the wrong sections aswell so Il try and do it right next time!

Thanks again,

xx:...
