I have my guinea pigs in an upstairs bedroom. They have had a morning in the run and I had just put them back. I heard this commotion upstairs and my neice had been spraying a load of hairspray in my piggies room. I have opened the window but is this going to be poisonous to my piggies. My neice is 10 years old so should know better. Please help. I'm really worried. 8...

I wouldn't think it is poisonous but no guarantee, but it will irritate their little lungs best keep the hairspray away from them in future!

I've just put them back in the run so hopefully the smell will be away when I put them back in their cage. I have left the window wide open. I am really angry pow-pow:a19:

I would not have thought it would have done them any lasting damage. To be honest, meadow hay is really dusty and is probably far worse than hairspray on a one-off basis.

As you have aired quickly afterwards, they shouldn't have suffered permanent damage.

Just make sure it hasnt settled on anything they eat or chew (bars/food ect)

They **** be ok:)
