Hi, my little piggy Humphrey is a very adventurous and active piggy, but lately he seems less active and tired.. he’s had diarrhea a couple times, and that’s really it. Help!

Hello, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear your piggy is unwell.

First off is it wet poo or diarrhea? Diarrhea is watery poo with no form at all and needs a vets visit immediately. Sloppy poo on the other hand can be the result of various gut issues...
What is his poo like now? Is he eating?

HI and welcome

Please have Humphrey vet checked to find out what is causing his problems. If a piggy goes suddenly quiet, then there is generally a more serious issue behind it. Just a little home DIY to pep up up will not address the underlying problem, and he will simply get worse.
How Soon Should My Guinea Pig See A Vet? - A Quick Guide

Please take any guinea pig with loose poos off veg until they have firmed up again for at least 24-48 hours and until the weight has stabilised. You may need to syringe feed and water during that time, especially if he is not well. If you are dealing with proper (i.e. runny) diarrhea, then you need to see a vet asap.

Make sure that you weigh him daily at the same time in order to monitor his food intake and start support feeding. You can use mushed up pellets as an emergency, but you need to prep the tip of syringe as shown in our guide for the fibre to come through. Please note that syringe feeding support is simply there to keep your piggy alive and the guts from closing down. It does not heal any underlying problems. You can use your kitchen scales for the daily weigh-in as long as he is not well and then go back to the regular weekly health and weight check-up.
