It just came to my attention that while i was out my piggys munched a bit of plastic bag that i stupidly left near the cage :( Will they be okay? Will it pass through? I normally check before i leave them but just this one time i didnt :(

Hopefully it should pass through... my Jeremy ate a ribbon off my top, I was really worried and called the vet, who said he should be fine. The time to worry is if they eat something like thread that can wrap round their insides
. The ribbon never did make a reappearance though!

Just keep an eye out for any discomforts mine have nibbled on bags leaves twigs i think they nibble and if they like ...continue!

I'm crossing everything ive got that it'll pass though them! Their such adventurous and naughty piggies but they dont know their doing anything wrong :-\ I'm really dissapointed in myself! Thank you for your replys guys. Their in the same room as me so i can keep a constant eye on them.

Hey, don't blame yourself for what happened! Your only human. We all do things like this. I'm sure your little baby will be fine. Did he eat alot, or just a tiny bit? I also read that things like strings are what you should worry about. They get wrapped up inside. I read that if you give your guinea celery, you need to remove the strings that you get in the stalks. I'm sure a little bit of plastic won't hurt. I had put a material bed (made for small animals) in the cage for him to lay on and he chewed the fabric all over the place. (and it was like a fur inside) I had to remove it, but he never got sick from it. Sending you hugs to your little one that he'll be fine! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

If you suspect a gp has eaten plastic, give 1ml of olive oil right away, this will help flush it through the system.

hoping your baby/ies will be alright as for the syringe ask your vet or chemist they will give you one or a small charge. explain why you want it. sending hugs and cuddles to you and your furbabies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*
