Help! Is this ok?

I've been out with my Guinea in the car for over an hour, basically we were meant to go and see someone about boar dating but she never answered the door. To cut a long story short he doesn't seem over heated but it's very hot in my room so I've given him a wet flannel to sit on if he needs it, is that ok? He has plenty of water and my room is completely in the shade with the blind down.

I might be panicking about nothing but I just want to make sure.

I personally wouldn't give him something wet to sit on, they can get poorly sitting on damp things so instead if you have anything frozen in the freezer wrap this up with two or three layers of tea towels so he can lie next to it. Another idea is to open the window and offer him plenty of fluids and cucumber

Here are tips to deal on how to deal with the heat. Guinea pigs can get heat stroke.
Try to air the room overnight and freeze a bottle of water which you can then wrap in layers of towel. A damp surface can cause health problems.
