Hi guys! As you know I am in Northern Ireland which means most of what I order online pet wise incurs huge delivery charges relative to what I'm paying for the product :0
I am currently using Carefresh to line my piggies hay area which is approx 1 1/2 by 2 C&C grids, so is quite large and as a guide I would use one 14l carefresh bag each time it's changed, which costs around £5. I am finding I can't get a week out of it now as the piggies seem to be smelling more recently and it is a pee smell, maybe it's to do with the warmer weather I don't know.
I don't want to make their hay area smaller as they love it and spend so much time diving and munching and playing in it.
I have heard great things about Megazorb and it is around £7 for 85l from what I have seen which is amazing! But when it comes to adding delivery charges it's no cheaper than the large bags of Carefresh so it's kind of annoying :(

I have googled to within an inch of my life to find somewhere close-ish to me where I can go buy it but have found nothing, I am not good on the phone so would feel like a right eejit ringing up random horsey places trying to find it.
Can anybody think of anywhere I can get it online where I am not going to have to pay stupid delivery charges? Perhaps I am searching the wrong places online, I don't know but I really need to try and reduce my bedding costs if I possibly can. If anybody can even think of something similar to Carefresh/Megazorb that I can get my hands on that'd be great too!
Thanks so much for reading all my babble, and extra thanks if you can help me :(|) xox

I'm having this issue aswell... rolleyes
I'm currently looking for an equine shop local to me... so far not much luck... have you got any horsey shops by you...?
x

Do you know I haven't a clue, cause when I google the horsey shops seem to be to do with different types of horsey things and I'm just like @) lol
I just want something nice for the piggies as I don't want them living in a smelly cage, but at the same time it has to be reasonably priced, if only the piggies knew what we do for them :)) xox

Ohhhhhh would you let me know if you are in tomorrow, I never thought of Jollies, I'm so silly! Would you try and see what the price is too if you can?
It's always lovely to meet someone from here on here, there are so few of us about :)) xox

I would try ringing around all the feed merchants in your area - even the farm places. You could also ask around livery stables - it's becoming more popular than shavings from what I've been told by my horsey friends :)

I tried the Amazon Megazorb once, and once I'd logged in the postage increased cause of where I live 8...

It's amazing how little you get out of the bags isn't it! I think because everything else we get in a bag like that is compressed and seems to go on forever the Carefresh is a bit of a shock! In fact I think it shrinks once it leaves the bag :)) £60 for one change...I'm sure you nearly died @);) xox
