Help Mother Gave Hamster Treats To Pigs!

Okay, basically my mother came and is very old like almost 50 by now.
We bought 3 packs of hamster honey sticks and while I was sleeping she put 2 in there.
They have eaten some of it, and when I saw I was completely outraged.
I'm scared, will anything happen?!

Might help if you can check the ingredients on the pack for anything not suitable for the pigs.

Don't worry. Your pigs should be fine. Just take the treats out and ask your mum to please not the same mistake happen again

They should be fine, l would just keep an eye to there tummies, in case they get a bit gassy with the sugar(honey i beleve ) use to bind the the seeds in
the sticks together .

PS my old mum is just as bad and she is 98 lol .

Hi! Please don't panic!

While the honeysticks should not be part of a regular piggy diet (too sweet and too fattening), as a one-off they will do no harm.

Please consider that your mum has meant well, so please explain to her kindly, but without causing a scene that the sticks are not really healthy and are no longer given as treats for guinea pigs like they used to when she (and I, when it comes to being "ancient") were growing up.
Tell her that the sticks are rather meant for your hamster and not your guinea pigs. Although if I were you, I'd think twice about whether honey is really healthy for a hamster, either. Honey is sugar when it comes down to it and that is empty calories.

Ok, I took them out then my mum put it back in there whilst I again took them out and told her again. Thanks for your help!
