hi I'm new and after some advice.
My guinea pig melody had a fall tuesday she got freaked by loud noise
whilst my daughter holding her. We took her to the vets and were told she has a broken hind leg, they gave us 2 options
1. Amputate
2. Leave it to heal itself
But i really dont know what to do shes only 4 months old my melody, i dread her having such a major operation so young.
But on the other hand to leave it to heal itself is cruel is it not this is my vets advice?!Does anyone have any information for me? any advice would be really apprieated. I'm so stuck i dont know what to do. vet has said that splinting her will do no good as the break is in awkward place to fix. I feel awful that shes got such crap start in life and want the best for her what should i do?
