Ill add as many details as i possibly can.
Ive had my guinea pig, Ferris, for more than a month and a half and since the first day hes been happy and running around places i take him arounnd my house. He eats a variety of vegtables and fruits and eats plentful of Orchard Grass (from Petco). A few weeks ago i got him a friend (boy) they got along the first day and have never fought. NEVER. So I'm not so worried about his eye problem being because of a fight. Now A few days ago on Saturday i switched his hay from Orchard Grass (petco) to timothy Hay (petsmart) and this new hay is really thick and pointy so i was worried they wouldnt like it.. The next day i noticed ferris was squinting a little and his eye right eye was a little watery. i worried like crazy and looked things up and the closest thing to his result was him getting a piece of hay in his eye. i was ****** because it was the same day i got him that stupid hay from petsmart and i seriously blame myself for his injury :/! anyways, i waited a day or so to see if it got better and it did. Yesterday i read that i should damp his eye gently with warmish water and i did. His eye seriously looks alot better! But i dont want to risk it, i live in San Ysidro California and i dont know of ANY vets, i would take him but i cant find any that are affordable, my parents deny me of transporting me or giving me any money so if you guys could help me with finding a vet in my area or Chula vista California i would appreciate it. I would take the bus for transportation if i had to. Now thats if he needs it..you guys tell me. His behaviour never changed hes happy and runs like crazy and eats very much. If i missed anything please ask. Thank you so much :]

Welcome to you and Ferris to the forum :)
Our lovely Suzy has given you a link......whee hope this helps you :)
I'm sorry to hear that your parents are not willing to take you to the vets.... could you not explain that this would help him and that he would be more comfortable and how upset you are :(
It's always advisable to find a cavy savvy vet near you as they're invaluable. Wishing you and little Ferris all the best.
