boysmum
Oh dear.
After getting a free box of veg from a local farmer, my boys got a lot of the offerings ie carrots, kale, brocoli etc.
In time, the contents of the box ran out and I then bought some carrots from the supermarket. My boys sniffed it in disgust and left it untouched! I was amazed as they normally love their carrot. THis went on for a few days, the carrot was left.
I was curious and I drove out to the farm and got some of the home-grown farmyard carrots (huge, twisted, knobbly things), washed them and placed one in their hutch. Absolute mayhem! It was like the first day of the sales! They went crazy over it!
I now have to make a trip of 15 miles each week to get their carrots!! They won't go back to supermarket ones! Ha!
However, I am determined to grown my own in my garden to stop this nonsense!
