Help my piggy won't eat he is trying but ends up spitting the food put! Also no water has gone from the water bottle since last night I have no money either so can't afford pet bills!
First of all can you sniff his breath, and let me know if it smells musty at all? like damp dishcloths? As the weather has been so humid fungal issues are on the increase, especially oral fungal.
Do you know if he can swallow? If so, please look at the hand feeding guide below:
Yes very odd and not really I had to put it in his mouth then he would eat it! I never tried hard food didn't want to hurt him and no I can't smell anything.
It's like he is trying to eat but as soon as he picks it up just drops it
It is possible, they may have knocked each other's mouths maybe, are you certain they have been fighting though and he has not cut himself on something in the cage?
I know and yes syringe feeding I have phoned two vets and cosultation 18 but it any treatments are needed what do yoo think I'm looking at price wise so I can get a loan or something ?
My mum is put she has only one space left but I think I could do that for dexter as Morgan is eating and if need be jus go to normal vet with Morgan if he gets worse ?
I really can't say without seeing them and even then am not a vet. My first thought would be oral fungal as it can strike out of the blue. However it may be something completely unrelated to the mouth which is making them feel awful.
