Hello my guinea pig is 3 uears old.. i do her birthday according to her adoption day sinse the previous owner didbt know her birthday. But she will be 4 next spring and lately she's been Laying down alot and moving slowly she not as active as her adoptive sister which is like 8 months old. Should I be worried??

Hello

Is she eating? Is she coming for her veggies?

I have two boys who are just a year old. I also have two recently adopted girls who are 3 too. I notice the girls are way less active. If this is a recent change or if she isn't eating, drinking, etc. I would check with a vet to be sure.

I always work on the basis that if I have any concern I go to the vet’s.
They would rather reassure an anxious owner than be presented with a piggy who has been left until its too late.
Let us know how you get on

Like the other people have suggested, please take her to a vet. My guinea was laying down a lot more and moving slower for a couple of weeks. We thought he was getting old and the rescue centre might have had his age wrong. So we let him be. He passed away on Mon of gut infection, in pain. I wish I'd known sooner that he could've been ill all that time and we did nothing. Better to be safe than sorry. I hope she's ok and back to her normal self soon. X
