Hi all,

We finally got two sows today from Helen in Kidsgrove :) they're lovely and seem to be settling in very well. My wife has named one of them Kofi. She is going to live with Caramel.

I am having some trouble naming her sister who is going to live with Biscuit. She is mostly cream with some black. I will post a photo tomorrow when she's a bit more settled.

Any suggestions? I thought about Cookie but now I'm not so sure.

Name her Swinton :p

Congrats on getting your piggies, can't wait to see pigtures.

Forgive me...but the first thing I thought was gravy! And her being cream color made it even more tempting...biscuit n gravy ...ha!
Other names.....toffee, muffin,and fancy

Oreo? Mary? As in Maryland cookies :)) Tea? As in Tea and biscuit. Cheese? As in biscuits and cheese... I'm a bit rubbish at this! hehe

I like Cookie - she sounds like a choc chip one! Or Cinnamon or Raisin Swirl? x)

maybe once you get to know her true pigsonality she will name herself...sweetie, honey bun, cookie like you suggested, i once had a parakeet named Jalapeno cause she was spicy and fiesty. I called her jalie (halie...hawlie..)..and it fit her.
it just kinda happened that way. I had another keet and his name was journey after the music group because that is the only time he would just "listen" to the music instead of chirrping his head off..and he'd get as close to the speaker as his cage would allow and would close his eyes and relax with it

perhaps she will be a bubbly , spunky lil lady, or calm and mellow .

She's still not settled particularly comfortably yet so I don't want to take a picture until she is. Her sistser, on the other hand, has made herself right at home already and she and Caramel seem to be getting on really well.

On the names, I quite like Toffee but her sister is already colled Kofi - it might get confusing. I thought about Custard and it seems like a masculine name to me for some reason (I have no idea why) :)

She doesn't seem "fancy" enough to be called Fancy. I thought about Chees yesterday but I'm not keen on it...

I'll post some picture as soon as I can. In the meantime my wife is calling her Piggy...

We've tried it out for a week and we've settled on Crumpet - thanks for all your suggestions :)

Crumpet and Kofi are settling in quite well. Kofi and Caramel have certainly taken to each other and seem to have bonded very quickly. It's still early but they look to be getting on very well. They seemed to have settled down with each other within a few hours of being introduced. Now, during floortime, they just follow each other everywhere which is so cute x)

Crumpet and Biscuit have taken a little longer to be comfortable with each other. Biscuit, as you all know, has a few issues and he struggled to establish his dominance. In turn, Crumpet is a little more feisty than Kofi and so they still haven't bonded quite as well. There are still occasional bouts of chattering, particularly from Biscuit, and a couple of rumble struts per day but generally, things are improving slowly.

As for us, Kofi doesn't seem to be scared of anything as long as she's with Caramel x) Although we haven't tried to handle her too much yet of course. Crumpet seems more nervous and is only now beginning to take food from us by hand. I think this is affected by her relationship with Biscuit too.

I will try to get some pictures at least of Kofi and Caramel together. I don't really want to stress Crumpet out too much but if an opportunity presents itself then I will get a photo of her too. :)
