Thank you everyone. I feel abit lost tonight without her.

I am very sorry - Mizzie has been part of your life for so long, so it won't be easy to get used to her not being arund and to retrain yourself for a daily routine that no longer includes her. In my experience, it is usually all the small things that hurt the worst, as they catch you unawares!

HUGS

So sorry to her that. She had a fabulous life and knew you loved her.

Sleep well Mizzie, run free were there is no pain and nommy food never-ending. Your mummy will miss you so much. x

You are so right. It's like tonight I was chopping broccoli for dinner and I automatically went to give her the stalk :-( and now it's got to her bedtime and I'm caught unaware again!

Someone annoyed me today as they said I don't understand why your so upset it's just a guinea pig . I choose to ignore that person!

Ohh I'm so sorry to hear about your Mizzie. Big hug for you &u done the right thing, that final act of kindness of helping her over the bridge is such a heartbreaking one to have to make:(
Every single one of us on here that has lost a piggy all knows roughly how u are feeling. We have to grieve for our pet/our family member. No matter what the animal may be. She had been a part of your life for a long time. It will take a while to adjust :(
If u would like u can always post on the rainbow bridge thread when u feel ready to.
As wiebke says its often the small things that catch u unaware that hurt the most :(

I'm glad u ignored the person with the hurtful comment. They obviously have little personality &have never experienced the joy that our spoilt little furball babies bring.
Keep your chin up &be proud that you looked after your precious mizzie to the grand age of 9.
Xx

Yeah it was a tough decision to make but I would never let her suffer. I think some people underestimate the connection and love that you get for a pet!

Oh that is a good idea. I think I will post on that Column in a couple days. Extremely tearful still.

The vet gave her a blanket to come home in and it has a picture of roo from Winnie the Pooh and the words little star next to it. That is exactly what she was.
