help needed asap

Lemmy and attom had a Huge fight this morning, lemmy is getting really irritated by atom humping him, i really dont know what to do 8...

please please please can someone give me some help as to what to do with my boysies?

Do you have little bolt holes tiny enough for one? Something like a plant pot. I find that if they've got somewhere they can go and sit in and not be pestered they'll tell the other to get lost and go sit in the pot.

What ages are your boys and how long have they been together? Was there a move or change in their routine that triggered a renewal of dominance behaviour?

If they have had a fight that resulted in wounds then I would separate for at least 24 hours before trying them back together - sometimes a simple time out or two is enough for well bonded boys to settle again. Otherwise it may be that your boys need to be separated long term for the hormones to die down, not all boys that fight have to be separated for life but only time will tell what will work for them.

Check both for wounds, damaged eyes, ears, teeth. Wounds that look small can be deep puncture wounds and will need cleaning with salted water, more serious wounds can be stitched/stapled at the vets.

they have a c&c cage 4x2 in size.
lemmy is around 1 years old
attom is 4 months, they have been together for 2/3 months

there isnt any wounds and theyre now sat seperately.

the only thing that could have triggered was attom humping lemmy, either that or the clean out, but thats never triggered it before.


they have lots of hidey holes, i really dont know what to do, i dont want to have to seperate them

As there are no wounds I would not separate, though obviously as they are both still within the hormonal period they may fall out again so a close eye on their behaviour is essential. Have you tried a teddy in the cage as an alternative humping victim? If your naughty boy will use one it will save an awful lot of tension between the boys. The teddy won't run away or object to his abuse.

ill have a look see if i can find one that might work. he normally waits for lemmy to have his bum stuck out the tube then humps him :...
