i posted this here because i don't know how to post here but here is what i need someone to answer pls answer

so far the male guinea is acting a bit more active the male guinea pig looks like its still a baby it keeps chasing the big guinea pig it is a female guinea pig and look like its adult but the small one always gets behind it when it gets scared or climbs it and it also kicks it out if its drinking water and it wants water. I’m not sure witch one is making the wheeking sound because i keep hearing wheeking. the cage is
21 inches x 12 inches if i get a bigger cage will they be better also the bedding is pine bedding i clean there cage every day. the male guinea pig jumps allot twitches and runs around i think it bumps into the other guinea pig allot or it gets close to it then the other guinea pig starts wheeking i think. the female guinea pig dousent really move allot it just eats and does other stuff its sneezed a few times but i don’t know if its because of the bedding I've also seen it lay on its side but not completely on its side just a little is it dying? i still don’t got many stuff in the cage & i think its cage is a bit to small how do i make them happier. here is a picture of it laying on its side also I'm new to taking care of a guinea pig. I'm trying to get a bigger cage also and I'm also slowly getting it the stuff i think it needs here are 3 images of the cage there living in.
i need to know what wrong with them.

I have asked for your post to be moved to a separate thread . Can I ask you why you have a male and female guinea pig together ? Is the male neutered - or the female spayed ?

I suggest you separate them immediately - until we can sort out what is wrong .

Also, can you tell us what country you live in - we have members from all over the world and it is useful to know if you are in the UK/US or elsewhere .

We will talk more about the best bedding to use and cage sizes a bit later.

Do you have access to hay? Piggies need unlimited hay.

Your right, your cage is quite a bit below the recommended sizes for two guinea pigs.

Your female is quite a big girly, I would presume she is an adult pig. Your little one looks small but not to small that he won't be able to impregnate the other pig.
 
Yes you're quite right the cage is too small &they need a lot more room to spread out in.

The bottom photo looks like the guinea has what is called a chooken leg (this is a sign the guinea is relaxed led with this showing and partly on its side)

If both guineas still have their reproductive bits they will as mentioned before have to be separated to stop pregnancy/ babies if she isn't already.

You can keep them in bigger cages next to each other so that they can still see &talk to each other if they haven't been spayed/castrated they will need company &interaction.

The jumping around is possibly what we call popcorning-again a good sign of happiness.

The sneezing you need to keep an eye on as this could be the start of breathing problems (URI)
But could also be because of the bedding. Their wee reacts with the wood shavings &causes problems sometimes.

They need lots of good quality hay to keep their teeth &digestive system working properly.

If u are a child /minor just put your country or state to help us provide more accurate advice.

Please carry out the cage size &separation first if need. &we can advise further from there if needed.

:( They definately need to be seperated before she becomes pregnant. You might want to have the female checked at a vet just incase, she does look slightly rotund in the second picture.

They need unlimited hay to keep their teeth down and to process food.

I would also remove the pringles tube- when the boy grows he may get stuck in it.

Ok so all I have to do is Seperate them I don't think the female Guinea pig is pregnant every time the small Guinea pig try's to mount it it starts crying and runs away from it & hides

As other members have said you do need to separate your piggies now. Unfortunately the female may already be pregnant. Also looking at the 4th photo your piggy may be having a fit, this requires a visit to a vets as soon as possible for a correct diagnosis.

Yeah separate and give them a bigger space to run around in, the cage sizes are in the post I posted yesterday :) The more room you can give piggies the better.
 
What if I can't take them to the vet for the next week or two :( I'm sorta broke because isint the vet like 80 or 30
 
I think seperating them, ensuring they have unlimited hay are your immediate priorities. As in, needs done right now.

She's objecting by wheeking and running away because she's not in season (yet). She may well have already been in season and is currently pregnant or will come into season very soon and you have very little chance of escaping without a pregnancy.

Once you have separated them and they have unlimited hay you should then focus on a vet health check up. Can you not borrow money or ask your parents/guardian if your a minor?
For a check up and if your female needs antibiotics for a upper respiratory infection you should need about £50 at the most, but this is hard to judge.

After this you need to focus on
neutering your male if you want to have them live together in the future. As well as getting a much, much bigger enclosure for your pigs.

ok i have separated them now i buyed a big cage and put the female guinea pig in it sins its bigger i also buyed wood they can chew on I’m not sure if its normal for the guinea pig to loos a little fur so far the female guinea pig doesn’t shriek anymore but isn’t that active when I’m in the room both of them.
I’m also not sure if both of them are becoming less active but they do eat but I’m not sure if there so post to eat every minuet or what.
the female guinea pig only shrieks when the male guinea pig starts to shriek allot i think its because it gets scared when it hears a sound sometimes the male but then the female guinea pig starts to bite the cage like it wants to get out and get into the other cage is there any way both of them can be in the same cage and not get the other one pregnant & make shriek allot because when they were in the same cage the female guinea pig would shriek allot and run away form the male guinea pig.
one last thing what do people mean by give the guinea pigs unlimited hay & do they need vegetables?

We mean that guinea pigs need to eat hay so you need to buy some hay from your pet store.

And yes, guinea pigs do need vegetables. They are also a vital part of their diet but they cannot eat all vegetables. I would advise that you feed them carrots, cucumber and spinach or kale ASAP.
 
What do you mean by lose a little hair. Does she have any bald patches, hair coming out in clumps with fur attatched or dandruff?

She is chewing the bars because she wants to be with him, but until he is neutered it is impossible to do so without her becoming pregnant.

They may be less active because they miss each others company, as they are social animals and do best in pairs or groups, again however until you get your boy neutered this isn't possible.
Also, how long have they been living together? Is it possible your female is heavily pregnant?

Unlimited hay means they should always have fresh hay in their cage so they can eat as much as they want.

And yes, they should get fresh vegetables on a daily basis.

How long have you had them?

The cages are still too small :( The recommended cage size is in one of the posts aboce.

A guinea pigs diet is:

Hay - 80% (It's a must, always make sure they always have hay)

Veg/Fresh herbs - 10 - 15%

Pellets - 5 - 10% depending on age.

I hope if your not very good at reading English that you find someone who can help translate what people are advising.

You do have to be careful with veg, some contains too much calcium which can be bad and too much sugar. I personally don't feed kale to mine because of the calcium content.

Both of them want to be in the same cage the male Guinea pig starts shrieking & hitting his cage allot sometimes
 
Yes they will want to be together but for there own good they should be kept apart until you can get the male neutered.
 
Do you understand "castrated" instead? It means that he would be unable to get your female pregnant if he was neutered/castrated. At the moment there is a high risk that she is already pregnant. Did the pet store sell you the 2 pigs together?
 
Yes English is my lauguage I just don't under the word that good also I think the Guinea pig might of got something that makes it scratch couse it scratches then shrieks and starts running also is it normal if the Guinea pig started eating less sins I separated them?
 
Also I buyed the Guinea pigs from someone who was selling them they were selling allot of small ones and big ones
 
It's OK to have small guinea pigs and big guinea pigs together .

We don't advise people have a male and a female together - unless they have had an operation to stop them having babies.
 
If your piggy is scratching and then shouting/running about, they could have a skin issue such as mange mite. Do you have access to a vet? If you are a minor, would your parents be able to take them?
